Cyber flashing

There was a thread recently on unsolicited genitalia pics and cyber-flashing. The thread included comments from various members, mods and the admins. The general sentiment was that such behaviour is undesirable and should be reported.

Some posts made reference to cyber-flashing being a crime under English law, which governs this website (and elsewhere e.g. Australia).

Many Lush users probably aren't aware it is illegal but instead consider it a moral debate about appropriate behaviour on an adult/sex site. I think it would be helpful to everyone to give clarity with a factual statement within the site T&Cs at the end of section 2.3 "Cyber-flashing is a crime and prohibited on this website, ask before sending pictures of your genitalia to another member"

With this wording in place the Lush community will be in a much better place to educate and self-police itself.

For example any recipient of one of these pictures will be able tell the sender they believe the site rules have been broken, point out this wording and make a report. As with any report, it may be considered valid or not valid and dealt with in the normal way but being able to signpost the fact Lush recognises cyber-flashing is illegal means there's a better chance members will be more mindful of what they send to others.

Thoughts would be much appreciated.

As I said in the other thread, it's not against lush rules. The law is aimed at protecting you from seeing things where you don't expect it, e.g to your email account, or a mainstream social media app. This is an adult erotica site. By continuing to use this site there is a reasonable expectation that you will be exposed to x-rated material. The site has provided tools to help you manage your own experience here.
