It was supposed to be fixed today. No idea what the holdup is.
Pagination is the obvious solution. Or just temporarily extend the limit to 250 stories or something for now and worry about it later when the page is spruced up visually.

At this moment, as I look at the list, it is very, very long! And I see your story right there in about halfway down the list. So, I am thinking that it must be fixed, or at least partially fixed. There are a LOT of stories there as of 8:30 PM Eastern time (USA).
No, it is as it was -- 100 titles, with the oldest dropped as new are added. I am slowly creeping toward the bottom, which probably suits me.

It's sorted now.
Thank you, Jen. I am back. I feel wanted again! 😊

Yay. Thanks to the developers for bumping the limit on the comp page. This competition just continues to attract entries. It's awesome.

Thanks for fixing the list. It's wonderful that so many people who would otherwise rarely or never press finger to keyboard have entered this competition.

Great work admins, handling the increasingly long list ... and, er, making room for mine. At long last I've thrown my hat in. No monsters in The Apple of My Eye, no danger (other than jumping off a moving hayride) ... just a good sweet-as-cider time on the farm at the local harvest festival.

OK, I'm just going to say what so many of us are thinking: I'M SURE GLAD I'M NOT A JUDGE!
How in Hallowe'en's name is any sane person going to pick 10 winners out of the – what? – 150 entries??
Oh, wait – I may just have answered my own question…

And I thought that was actually a nice touch. So many of us went automatically to the Halloween angle, but Fall is about more than just spooks, eh.
Some interesting stories in there. Going to be quite interested to see what comes out of this.
Happy Hallowen and good luck to all those with a comp entry!

Lol, and, of course, in our half of the world, this time of year is about spring, rebirth, sunshine and light. Happy Halloween to you all.

I've admitted defeat and bumped the announcement date until Friday, because, holy crap! Good to see so many entries, but it's going to take several rounds of shortlisting.
Some absolute crackers so far though.
scribbles date in calendar
I'm holding you to this, though. 😉
Actually, I would say this is good news. A comp that requires a four day (or whatever) bump in the announcement must have gone well.
