Old in my years

but so young in mind

Through life’s experiences

what did I find

Pay attention to the world around me

and not to be blind

In a time of need

without a toss

I felt so alone

A profound sense of loss

I went looking on-line

found this world of Lush

So new to me

was exciting as hell

I felt so free

And then it caught my eye

such a simple phrase

I breathed a big sigh

with my mind in a haze

I sent a reply

And in the response

I couldn’t believe

the sharing of words

I was so ready to receive

Where would this go

I could not know

So continue we did

with feelings we never hid

Always based on honesty

Agreeing the way it must be

and OH how our cyber friendship

created such heat

words holding use closely

whenever we’d meet

a name I’ll always remember

giving and sharing, our words so tender

but face to face, never surrender
