About
By day, I work within the criminal justice system—managing case files, drafting alternative measures recommendations for offenders. It’s not as exciting as it sounds, and I’m fairly certain it doesn’t sound exciting to begin with.
By night, I do a different kind of writing. I’m new to fiction, especially the kind you’ll find here, but I’m enjoying it so far. I’m still finding my voice, testing boundaries, and exploring ideas I’ve kept bottled up for too long. It’s a work in progress—aren't we all?
Interests
They’re fairly varied, and honestly, I’m still figuring some of them out. Writing fiction has been a way of discovering a part of myself I hadn’t paid much attention to before. I imagine whatever I’m drawn to will show up in the stories—probably before I realize it myself.
Favorite Books
I read a lot, though lately it’s been mostly historical non-fiction and biographies—especially those tied to music. I like stories grounded in real lives and messy timelines. Fiction has taken a backseat for a while, which might be why I’m so curious about writing it now.
Favorite Movies
I’m drawn to stylized films where the director’s hand is visible—Wes Anderson’s symmetry, David Fincher’s use of color, Yorgos Lanthimos’s weirdness, Brian De Palma’s split screens. I tend to prefer movies that feel intentionally constructed; an unusual story is always a plus. Writing this just made me realize that my own fiction is probably more influenced by film than by other writers.
Favorite TV Shows
Much to my shame, I love reality competition shows—Survivor, The Traitors, Secret Millionaire. We all have our flaws. This is mine.
